Hanover-Horton High School Bulletin for Monday, April 23, 2018
We will be having our final blood drive of the school year, Thursday April 26th. If you are 16 or older, please consider donating blood. We will be having sign ups during lunches and a sign up will be available in the office. Seniors please remember, if you are interested in wearing a red cord you need to have donated for all three drives, worked all three or a combination of working and donating. Please see Mrs. Melling if you have any questions.
Prom tickets will be on sale today through April 27th. Tickets are $40.00 per student. Seniors will each receive one ticket for free.
We are looking for a volunteer tutor to help a middle school boy Wednesdays and maybe Tuesdays after school with all subjects. See Mrs. Davis-Green if you are interested.
Seniors interested in applying for the HHEA scholarship can get information in the counseling office. The deadline to apply is Friday, May 11.
If there are any girls in need of a formal dress for prom, Mrs Davis-Green has a few available. See her if interested.
Hanover-Horton Art Department
The Hanover-Horton Art Department will be displaying some of their artwork at the Jackson Crossing Mall by Alpha Coney starting April 24th through May 6th.
Seniors attending Jackson College this fall
Seniors going to JC in the fall: Jackson College will be here on Thursday, 4/26 starting at 8:00 am to help students who are going to JC in the fall do the next steps, including signing up for orientation, getting registered and financial aid. Sign up for an appointment time in the counseling center.
On Saturday, the varsity softball team finished tied for third in the 6 team Chris Brian Tournament. The Comets defeated Pittsford 11 to 10, lost to Ravenna 12 to 5, and lost to Portland 7 to 1. Against Pittsford, Emily Watkins tripled in the tying and winning runs in the bottom of the 7th inning to seal the win. For the game, Watkins, Haleigh Sanders, Jenna Jessup and Sarah Gonzales each had 2 hits for H-H.
BLOOD DRIVE SIGN UP
We will be signing up donors for this Thursday's blood drive during lunches today, Tuesday and Wednesday. This is our final blood drive of the year and we need as many donors as possible to reach our goal. If you are 17 and older you can sign up today. Those students that are 16 can donate with a parents permission. All students donating blood at this drive will be entered into a drawing for a $25.00 Amazon gift card.
